Measure wrist with a soft measuring tape. Preferably pick smaller size over Measure wrist with a string then transfer to ruler.

Newborn - 5 months circumference: 4in
5-11 months circumference: 4 1/2 in
11 months - 2 years circumference: 5 in
3-4 years 5 1/2 inches

H O W ⋯ T O ⋯ S I Z E

Step 1: Close your hand so that her thumb is brought together with her pinky finger, placing her thumb in between the top and the middle knuckle of her inner pinky finger.

Step 2: Using a measuring tape, or a piece of yarn or string, wrap it around her hand at the largest and widest points. Normally, this will be the back knuckle of her middle finger, and the bottom knuckle of her thumb. If you are using a piece of string, make a marking on your string with a pen. Then, lay it out and measure it with a ruler. This measurement is the circumference of her hand.
